Working with Images (6 of 14)

Step 3 - Insert a picture or two |
| |
The picture bluetrim1.gif
can be downloaded from
here
if you need it.
On the menu bar, go to Insert | Insert Picture
and insert the 'Blue Trim' image.
The image is located at the top left of your page.
There should be selection handles on the picture, so drag the picture to the
middle of your page:
Now you need to rotate the picture and move it so that it sits across the
corner of the page.
To rotate, move your cursor over the top right hand corner of the picture.
|
The cursor changes to look like this
|
The selection handles should still be in place and you can see that the handle
in this position is a circle. This is the rotation handle.
Move your cursor over this and drag anti-clockwise until the angle at the
bottom right of your screen shows 315°:
Drag the trim so that it sits across the top left hand corner of your page:
Don't worry that the trim is actually sitting outside the page at the edges - NotateIt
ignores overlaps. If you dragged the trim back into the centre of the page, the
whole image would still be there.
Start Step 3 again to insert the same trim
across the bottom right hand corner.
Use the scroll bars to make sure you position it correctly at the 'true' bottom
right.
Note that the 'Blue Trim' image has a right and wrong way up, so when you
rotate this time, the angle should be 135°:
Note the position of the scroll bars.
With the blue background and the blue trim, it might be a good idea to have
blue text as well.
|
Using the Select tool, select the block of text
|
|
Click on the drop-down arrow beside the Colour Picker and select a 'blue'
colour of your choice. The text now changes to the colour you selected.
|
You can rotate the text as well, to match the angle of the trim (315°):
